From The Pastor's Desk:
”Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.” Aristotle
Since God’s Name Is Excellent and We are created in His Image and Likeness, I believe the Traits of the Parent, becomes the Tendencies of the children. As Christians, we are called to represent The Lord Jesus Christ. We are His “Ambassadors“, His “Representatives“, to the world. Therefore, when we identify with Him, we are saying “That we are Committed to The Goal of Giving Our Very Best“. The Child of God, who bears His name, never equates “Mediocrity” with the things of God but should be “Committed" to the very best. No Child of God should ever live under the Delusion that he or she has finally arrived. Excellence is something to aim for --- a mark that will render Success because God Wills it.
It requires "Constant" Evaluation, Correction and Improvement; the process never ends. You Can't Skip The Process. Developing into a mature Christian and Child of Excellence, does not take place in a day. It is a growing process where-in, Old Negative Habits (Patterns) are done away with and New Positive Habits (Patterns) are formed through the Process of Discipline and Commitment. All of us must recognize that we have not achieved total excellence in every aspect of life, but must make a conscious choice in allowing Excellence to be a Continuous Goal.
It’s now time for each Child of God to step up and live up to the Responsibilities God has called us to, by fulfilling them in such a manner that people will never equate Mediocrity with God, His Kingdom or His Children.
